Feature: Shifters

The ability of Israeli-Palestinian conflict to sustain itself over time has been remarkable. Each time a new hope for an end to the conflict rises, violence and extremism raises its ugly head to subvert it. And because extremism and violence has defied optimism and triumphed over reason and restraint for decades upon decades, bringing an end the conflict seems wildly improbable. The disappointment suffered every time militant extremism claims victory by claiming lives desensitizes and blunts our very human instinct to support hope and a movement that might bring an end to the conflict.

But Israelis and Palestinians are incapable of being desensitized. This conflict is their reality. They can not casually turn off the television set or read a different story in the newspaper. However, in the midst of chaos, there is growing chorus of moderate Israeli and Palestinian voices who have had enough, and are demanding an end to the cycle of violence.

And it is the OneVoice Movement that is uniting them for this cause.

OneVoice Movement is a grassroots movement designed to amplify the voice of the people and to empower Israelis and Palestinians on the ground to achieve a consensus on core issues.
