AL GORE WINS NOBEL PEACE PRIZE...................
Former U.S. vice-president shares award with UN climate change panel

Al Gore, said he was honored to receive the prize. He indicated that his share of the $1.5 million award would be donated to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a non-profit organization that works to educate the public about climate change and seeks global participation for action.

Foot note: "The Supreme Court handed 2000's agonisingly close presidential election to George W Bush, who promptly abandoned US support for the international Kyoto pact on climate change.
Gore emerged from political hibernation with little bitterness over his electoral loss, joking to one audience: "I am Al Gore, and I used to be the next president of the United States of America."
" Some experts say Gore's campaign, the Oscar and now the Nobel Peace Prize could persuade him to make a new last-minute bid to secure the Democratic nomination for next year's US presidential election." http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,22576473-661,00.html
